„Fools on the hill“ ist für das Trio „il tempo suono“ komponiert.

Neben drei F-Blockflöten kommt noch eine präparierte Autofeder zum Einsatz. Der Name des Stücks klingt ähnlich wie ein Titel der Beatles, die in ihrer Komposition ein unnachahmlich eigentümliches Blockflötenspiel präsentierten, welches mich bis jetzt an preiswerte Räusche (Wermut z.B.) erinnert. Angeregt davon ist „Fools on the hill“. Die Musiker benötigen zur Bewältigung ihres Flötenparts jeweils lediglich vier Finger und mehr als den Eindruck einer Halluzination sollte das Stück auch nicht hinterlassen.
