THINKING ABOUT AIR…A SONG?

Diesem Stück liegen  2 Texte zugrunde. Beide  sind Nacherzählungen. Der erste Text berichtet von 2 sehr jugendlichen Wissenschaftlern (ca. 4 Jahre alt), die über das Phänomen Luft rätseln und zu dem Schluss kommen, dass Luft nur des Nachts sichtbar ist. Nachts ist sie nämlich schwarz. Mir wurde diese Geschichte schon aus zweitem Mund übermittelt; von der poetischen Erkenntnis hingerissen, will ich sie weiter erzählen und frage mich, warum der Wissenschaft nur um der  (angeblichen) Wahrhaftigkeit willen die Poesie verloren gehen musste. Der zweite  Text erzählt von einer Geschichte, die der belgische Surrealist Henri Michaux schrieb.

Air heißt sowohl Lied als auch Luft. Ohne Luft und ohne Mundwerk sind Erzählungen, ist Musik nicht möglich.  In THINKING ABOUT AIR… A SONG werden Mund- und Handwerk so gemischt, dass sich die Grenzen zwischen Vokal und Instrumentalklängen in Luft auflösen.

 

THINKING ABOUT AIR…A SONG?

 

This piece is based on 2 stories which have only been told, that means they have been transmitted by air.  One story is about two very young scientists (they have been both 4 years old) and they discuss the matter called air. Their research ends with the fact that one can see the air only at night because at night the air is black. Somebody told me this and  since then I wonder why the adult scientists gave up all poetic thinking only to be nearer to a “truth” which very often is as well only pretention. The other story is a retail of a text written by the Belgian surrealist Henri Michaux.

Air means as well song and in “ THINKING ABOUT AIR… A SONG? “mouthwork” and “ instrumental work” are mixed so that the borders between them melt into the air.
